Sounded like a pre-recorded message claiming to be from Inland Revenue Legal Department. Said it was a highly sensitive matter and that I must return the call. What a waste of time, drives me mad!

This phone number is someone saying they are from IRD and that they believe you have avoided paying tax. The REAL IRD have this number on their file as being a scam. The person will pretend to be a debt collector and ask for your bank account or credit card details. Do not answer or reply as its a scam. IRD only use 0800 numbers.
