They called me after a payment online to top up a friends phone failed. She is in Fiji and so she called vodafone to find out if they could help. Turned out the online top up system was down. Not a bad number :)

The guy called me 5 min ago and he said he is from vodafone and has some discount/promotion for me, and he even said to me about my personal information and house address (but the background was so noisy and I could hear the wind blowing). I have chatted with vodafone and they said it was nothing relevant to vodafone. A spam call 0800800021, block it

He gave his name as Steven and said he was from Vodafone and someone was hacking our internet and our access would need to be shut down for 15 days. He then asked for our modem number. We then rang Vodaphone and confirmed that this was definitely a scam. When asked for a return phone number he gave this number, 800 800 021. However, we have not verified that this was the actual number he rang from.
