Has called from the same number several times now in the last few days. I did not answer the calls straight away, but when I hit to call back, got an automated response from Spark saying that this number was not allocated to anyone. I have now **** this number in my phone as a "do not answer scam caller" ID.

Received a call on 25 June at 11am for 7mins. She was reading off a script asking to sign up and donate to Plunket starting either 1 July or 15 July. She knew my first and last name and email address. Told her I donate via my trade me earnings.

Called multiple times, I answered once, the caller started on a long spiel about the services Plunket provides (I didn't ask nor am I interested) and was eluding to wanting donations however I had to leave the call due to my baby needing attention. Annoying and needy so I've now blocked the number.

Missed a call from this number, but called back. It did not ring, but instead got an automated message about Cancer Society Wellington, which is odd because the initial call is from an Auckland number. They have called several times and I have now blocked them.

They called a second time, this time I answered. An org called 'Unity 4' calling on behalf of cancer society. When i asked to repeat org they were reluctant to state 'Unity 4'. I asked where they got details from and they said i agreed to calls from completing a recent survey. I said that wasn't true, and nothing against them personally, but can they please take my number off their records, as I didn't agree to this and I already donate to my own charities - so will also not waste their time. Then the phone hung up, so one presumes they did as I requested....

Rang the number back. It was an Auckland number, but there was an automated message saying they were calling from Cancer Society Wellington. Bit odd from an Akl number? I haven't signed up to anything, I did do a survey but I never entered my phone number. There is an option to enter your number so you're not phoned back - legally they have to take you off all records if you ask.

The person on the other end of the phone was very uncharismatic. A lot of "ums" and "yeah." Persistently pushed for a monthly donation to a program called "hope for life" which I couldn't find anything associated with the cancer society NZ. The call came from Auckland New Zealand. Woman on the phone said that the average person payed $6-7 a month and asked what I was willing to donate. After "disclosing" my financial situation, she suggested a daily model of $0.50 a day for a higher payment of $15/m donation. I would assume they obtained my contacts from a cancer society survey I took from an Instagram ad. Whether the survey was being conducted by the actual cancer society organisation, I do not know.

Weird phone call. Wouldn't tell me what the call was about and didn't answer my question when I asked how they got my number. Started talking about a cancer service they provide and I asked what it was about but kept dodging real answers.
