Person called and asked me to verify a few details so I could win a $500 countdown Shopping Voucher. I asked them to read out what they had. They got the address wrong and the moment I said that's not my address- they said "thank you for your time" and ended the call. I'm guessing I didn't qualify for the $500 voucher

She was like, you have entered into one of our draw and can win $30k or hyundai car i30. But you need to answer few questions. Very first question was - Can you please confirm me your address for recieving the gift and I was like annn NOOO- and than she goes its important for the competition lol. I asked her are you registered NZ Company, and where are you based and she goes yes, we are based in Auckland. I asked her again where in Auckland, whats the address and she had no clue about that. I was like sorry i think you guys are running scam call and she hangs up.

They ring and say there entering you in a prize draw then ask you questions about charities then you get all the charities calling . I ended up donation to Alzheimer’s nz but I did it on their website then the very next day my credit card was hacked,

Apparently I had entered some competition with their company and (Scam call) reported by


A woman who sounded shy answer and said I had entered a competition with their company before. They have been calling me everyday for a week now so I finally answered. She said there was another draw I could enter to win a Hyundai and all I had to do was “answer a few questions.” I hung up and blocked the number but I thought it was interesting that she mentioned the phone call was being recorded from her end. I haven’t had many scam calls but I didn’t think that was normal.
